TROUBLESHOOTING10Symptom Cause SolutionEngine will notstartUnit does not reachhigh pressure.Output pressurevaries high and low.No gasoline. Fill gas tank.Choke is not in correctposition.Slide choke lever to “CHOKE”position.Low oil level. Add oil.Engine throttle is not incorrect position.Position the throttle to “FAST”.Diameter of garden hose istoo small.Replace with a 3/4 inch gardenhose.Water supply is restricted. Check garden hose for kinks, leaksand blockage.Not enough inlet water supply. Open water source full force.Water inlet filter is clogged. Remove filter and rinse out in warmwater.Nozzle is in “CHEM”positionTurn nozzle to high pressure position.Not enough inlet water supply. Turn water on full force. Check gardenhose for kinks, leaks or blockage.Pump is sucking air. Check that hoses and fittings are airtight. Turn off machine and purgepump by squeezing trigger gun untila steady flow of water emergesthrough the nozzle.Water inlet filter is clogged. Remove filter and rinse out in warmwater.Discharge nozzle isobstructed.Blow out or remove debris with afine needle.Calcified gun, hose or spraywand.Run distilled vinegar throughdetergent suction tube.Pressure built up in thehigh pressure washer.Squeeze the trigger to release thepressure.CLEANING TIPS - continuedBarbecue Grills, OutdoorPower Equipment &Gardening Tools(with or without detergent)Pre-rinse cleaning surface with fresh water.If using Kärcher All Purpose Cleaner orDegreaser, place detergent suction tubedirectly into cleaning solution and applydetergent at low pressure. Allow Kärcherdetergent to remain on surface 1-3 minutes.Do not allow detergent to dry on surface.Rinse at high pressure keeping the spraynozzle approximately 6 inches from thecleaning surface. For removing extremelystubborn dirt, it may be necessary to movethe spray nozzle even closer to the surfacefor greater dirt cutting action.Patio & Lawn Furniture(with or without detergent)Pre-rinse furniture and surrounding area withfresh water. If using Kärcher All PurposeCleaner, place detergent suction tube direct-ly into cleaning solution and apply to surfaceat low pressure. Allow Kärcher All PurposeCleaner to remain on surface 1-3 minutes.Do not allow detergent to dry on surface.Rinse at high pressure in a sweeping motionkeeping the spray nozzle approximately 6inches from the cleaning surface.
