2IMPORTANT PRECAUTIONS – Read First!Safety WarningsWhen using this product, basic precau-tions should always be followed:• Read all the instructions before usingthe product.• High pressure jets can be dangerousif subject to misuse. The jet must notbe directed at persons, animals,electrical devices, or the machine itself.• To reduce the risk of injury, do notoperate the machine near children.• Learn how to stop the machine andrelease pressure quickly. Be thoroughlyfamiliar with the controls.• Stay alert — watch what you are doing.• Wear safety goggles.• Do not use acids,solvents, or anyflammable material in this product.These products can cause physicalinjuries to the operator and irreversibledamage to the machine.• Do not operate the product whenfatigued or under the influence ofalcohol or drugs.• Do not stand on unstable surfaces.Stand with both feet balanced at alltimes.• To reduce the risk of electrocution, keepall connections dry and off the ground.Do not touch plug with wet hands.• The Gun Safety Lock PREVENTSthe trigger from accidentally beingengaged. This safety feature DOESNOT lock trigger in the on position.Extension CordsUse a sufficient gauge: Up to 25 ft = 12/2AWG; 25 to 50 ft = 10/2 AWG. Use onlyextension cords that are intended foroutdoor use. These extension cords areidentified by the marking “Acceptable foruse with outdoor appliances; storeindoors while not in use.” Use onlyextension cords having an electrical ratingnot less than the rating of the product. Donot use damaged extension cords.Examine extension cord before using andreplace if damaged. Do not abuseextension cord and do not yank on anycord to disconnect. Keep cord away fromheat and sharp edges. Always disconnectthe extension cord from the receptaclebefore disconnecting the product from theextension cord. If you are using anextension cord, it should always becompletely unwound from the cable drum.This Product IsDouble InsulatedIn a double-insulated product, twosystems of insulation are provided insteadof grounding. No grounding method isprovided on a double-insulated product,nor should a method for grounding beadded to the product. Servicing a double-insulated product requires extreme careand knowledge of the system, and shouldbe done only by qualified servicepersonnel. Replacement parts for adouble-insulated product must beidentical to the parts they replace.A double-insulated product is markedwith the words, “DOUBLE INSULATED.”Caution• Follow the maintenance instruc-tions specified in the manual.• This machine has been designedfor use with cleaning detergentssupplied or recommended by themanufacturer. The use of othercleaning detergents may affectthe operation of the machine andvoid the warranty.
