Transport and start up5.1 Transport and installationThe machine is designed to operate inclosed rooms and must be placedstable on firm and levelled ground.The machine can be bolted down ifrequired.5.2 AssemblyIf you notice transport damage whileunpacking, notify your supplierimmediately. Do not operate themachine!Dispose of the packing in anenvironmentally friendly manner.Clean all rust protected surfaces witha mild solvent.For packing reasons the machine isnot completely assembled.Stand AssemblyPosition two sides (F, Fig 1) on theground.Fig 2Mount the bottom plate (E) to thestand sides (F) with four button headsocket screws and washers.Hand-tighten only at this time.Connect the sides (F) to the rear plate(G) with 4 button head socket screwsand washers. Hand-tighten only.Connect the front plate (H) to thesides (F) in the same manner.Hand-tighten only.Drum Head InstallationPlace the sander (C, Fig 1) onto thestand.WARNING:Main unit is heavy (120kg)!Assure the sufficient load capacityand proper condition of your liftingdevices.Never step underneath suspendedloads.Use great care when lifting the unitup onto the stand.Secure the sander (C) to the standfrom inside the cabinet using four hexcap screws (J, Fig 3) washers (M).(avoid twisting of the sander base asthis will effect conveyor belt tracking).Attach the handwheel (A) and tightenthe two set screws with the 4mm hexwrench supplied.After installing the drum head to thestand, tighten all bolts of the standassembly.Fig 3Conveyor Table InstallationPlace the conveyor (D) onto thesander base (C1).Secure the conveyor in place with foursocket head cap screws (K), lockwashers (N) and flat washers (P).Plug the sander's motor cord into thereceptacle of the control box (D1).Important: The conveyor belt has beenover-tensioned for the purpose ofshipping.Before operation, adjust the belttension (see chapter 7.5).Open coverTo open the dust cover push in theknob (A, Fig 4) and lift.Fig 4Sanding Drum AlignmentAlign the sanding drum to be parallelto the conveyor bed (see chapter 7.4)
