45Operating Other Manufacturers’ Video EquipmentThis remote control supplied with the receiver can transmit control signals for other manufacturers’ TVs, CATVconverters, DBS tuners, VCRs and DVD players.When operating the other manufacturers’ components, refer also tothe manuals supplied with them.• After replacing batteries for the remote control, you need to setthe manufactures’ codes again.To change the transmittable signals foroperating another manufacturer’s TV1. Press and hold TV .2. Press TV/DBS.3. Enter a manufacturer’s code using buttons 1 – 9,and 0.See the list on the right column to find the code.4. Release TV .The following buttons can be used for operating a TV:TV : Turn on and off the TV.TV VOL +/–: Adjust the volume.TV/VIDEO: Set the input mode (either TV or VIDEO).After pressing TV/DBS, you can perform the followingoperations on a TV:CH +/–: Change the channels.1 – 10/0, 0, 100+ (+10):Select the channels.The 10/0 button will function as the ENTERbutton if your TV requires pressing ENTERafter selecting a channel number.Notes:• All the functions listed above may not be assigned to thebuttons for some TVs.• If you cannot change the channels of some TVs by pressing10 keys, press CH +/– for changing the channels.5.
