10 ENGLISH You can listen to the playback sounds withcordless headphones—KS-HP2.Installing the batteriesCAUTIONS:• The supplied batteries are not rechargeable.DO NOT recharge them; otherwise, batteryleakage or explosion may result.• Insert the batteries with the correct polarity“+” and “–” to prevent the battery leakageor explosion.Before using the cordless headphones:The headphones give best results when usedwithin about 2 m from the transmitter.These headphones need to receive infrared (IR)signals sent from IR transmitters on the monitor.Therefore, if you use the headphones where thesignals cannot be received in a straight line ofsight, noises may be generated.Main elements and features1 IR sensors• DO NOT cover the IR sensors, asreception will become poor.2 ON/OFF button• The power automatically shuts off in thefollowing cases:– The headphones are used for about 4hours.– No signal is received for about 4minutes.• You can turn on the power again bypressing the button.3 POWER lamp4 Volume controlPlayback sounds are transmitted through IRtransmitters to the cordless headphones.When using the headphones, set the monitormenu item “IR” to “ON.” (See page 14.)WARNING:DO NOT use the headphones while driving.Shutting out all outside sounds while drivingis dangerous and may result in a trafficaccident.Headphones — KS-HP2Left side Right sideIR transmittersPOWER VOLBatteries (R03/AAA)— supplied only forinitial setup purpose
