54 ENVCR Plus+®TimerProgrammingTimer recording allows you to program the recorder to automati-cally record a program that will be broadcast at some future time.The timer record function can be programmed using the VCRPlus+ or Express Timer programming ( pg. 58) up to 16 showseach on the HDD and VHS decks as far as a year in advance.The VCR Plus+ timer programming system eliminates the needto input channel, date, start and stop time data when setting thetimer record function. Simply key in the PlusCode number forthe TV program you wish to record and the recorder’s timer willbe automatically programmed. (The PlusCode programmingnumbers are the numbers next to the program in most TV listing.)TIMER RECORDINGTurn on the TV and select the AV mode. TURN ON THE RECORDER1 Press POWER.SELECT THE DECK2 Press HDD or VHS (or S-VHS).ACCESS VCR PLUS+ SCREEN3 Press VCR PLUS on the remotecontrol. The indication for VCRPLUS+ appears on the displaywindow of the remote control.ENTER PLUSCODE NUMBER4 Press the appropriate NUMBERkeys to enter the PlusCodenumber printed in the TVlistings for the TV program youwish to record.● To make corrections, press CANCEL and input thecorrect PlusCode number.● If you want to stop programming the timer recording,press VCR PLUS on the remote control. The indica-tion on the remote control disappears.TRANSFER THE PLUSCODETO THE UNIT5 Press TRANS to transmit the PlusCode number from theremote control to the recorder.If “SET GUIDE CHANNEL THEN RETRY” appears on thescreen, perform VCR Plus+ setup procedure.(page 56.)When “PROGRAM FULL DELETE UNWANTED TIMERPROGRAM” appears on the screen, you need tocancel some of the reserved programs.
