14 EN GETTING STARTEDThis camera’s 2-way power supply system letsyou choose the most appropriate source ofpower. Do not use provided power supply unitswith other equipment.Charging the Battery Pack1 Set the power switch to OFF while pressingdown the lock button located on the switch.2 Slide and hold OPEN in the direction of thearrow a, then open the battery/CF card cover.3 Insert the battery pack firmly into the batterypack mount until it locks into space as shown inthe illustration.4 Close the battery/CF card cover firmly until itlocks.5 Connect the AC adapter to the camera.6 Connect the power cord to the AC adapter.(AP-V14E only)7 Plug the power cord into an AC outlet. Thepower/charge lamp on the camera blinks toindicate charging has started.8 When the power/charge lamp goes out,charging is finished. Unplug the power cord fromthe AC outlet. Disconnect the AC adapter fromthe camera.To detach the battery packOpen the battery/CF card cover, and remove thebattery pack while sliding BATTERY in thedirection of the arrow b.Required charging timePowerPower/Charge LampBattery PackAC Adapter(ex.
