36How the daily timer works:Once the daily timer has been set, the timerindicator and timer number indicator (1/2/3) are liton the display window. Daily timer turns on thesystem at the same time everyday until the timersetting is canceled manually or another daily timeris activated.When the on-time comes:The system turns on, tunes in to the specifiedstation or start playback the loaded disc with thevolume level set to the preset level.• The timer setting remains in memory until youcan change it.• Without canceling the daily timer, you canchange the source or adjust the volume after thedaily timer starts playback.1 Press CLOCK/TIMER repeatedlyto show “DAILY 1.”• Each time you press the button, the clocksetting changes as follows:2 Press cursor 2/3 to adjust thehour of the timer-on time, thenpress SET.3 Press cursor 2/3 to adjust theminute of the timer-on time,then press SET.4 Repeat Step 2 and 3 to set thetimer-off time.5 Press cursor 2/3 to select theplayback source, then SET.• Each time you press the button, the clocksetting changes as follows:• When selecting the tuner, press cursor 2/3to select a preset channel.• When selecting “DISC”, you can specify thegroup and track. For the discs other thanMP3/WMA, the group selection does nottake effect.6 Press cursor 2/3 to adjust thevolume level, then SET.7 Turn off the system.To turn off the timer setting1 Press CLOCK/TIMER repeatedlyto select the timer setting.2 Press CANCEL to turn off theselected setting.• Pressing SET activates the timer settingagain.If there is no operation for 3 minutes while the discis stopped, the power will be automatically turnedoff.Press A.STANDBY during playbackor while the disc is stopped, or nodisc is loaded (“NO DISC” appears).The A.STANDBY indicator lights on the displaywindow on the main unit.When a stopped state is entered (after playback isfinished, for example), the A.STANDBY indicatorstarts blinking.This means that the power will be turned offautomatically if there is no operation for 3 minutes.And 10 seconds before the power is turned off,“ A.STANDBY” starts flashing.Releasing Auto StandbyPress A.STANDBY.“A.STANDBY” will be turned off on the displaywindow on the main unit.NOTEWhen the source is FM, AM, USB or AUX, AutoStandby does not work.DAILY 1ON AM 6:00DAILY 2ON PM 12:00ON PM 6:00DAILY 3SourceindicationClock adjustTUNER FMTUNER AMAUXDISCAuto StandbyConvenient functionsSetting the Various Timer (continued)
