E-47PLAYBACK – Locate function –Index searchThis function locates and advances/rewinds to the position where the index signal is recorded.Use the remote controller. To locate an index in the forward direction vis-a-vis thecurrent tape position:• Press the INDEX + button.The index position to be located can be specified by the numberof times this button is pressed. (Max: 99) To locate an index in the reverse direction vis-a-vis thecurrent tape position:• Press the INDEX - button.The index position to be located can be specified by the numberof times this button is pressed. Use the remote controller.INDEX+1During index search, this messageis displayed on the monitor(the number represents the position ofthe index).DISPLAYBARSMENU SEARCH+BLANKSTILLMODEAUDIOMUTINGOUT SEL.BLANK buttonBLANK SEARCHMonitor screenMemo• If the interval between index signals is less than 1 minute, the functionmay not work well.• The specifications for index signal recording varies with the device used.Monitor screen In the STOP mode, press the BLANK button.• If the current position is at a recorded part of the tape, the unitfast-forwards until an unrecorded part is reached and goes intothe STOP mode.• If the current position of the tape is unrecorded, the unit will firstadvance the tape in the forward direction for confirmation andthereafter rewind and go into the STILL mode at the last recordedposition.• During a blank search, “BLANK SEARCH” is displayed on themonitor.
