22Operations for USB MEMORYBasic playback for USB MEMORY7 To play a file in a USB mass storage classdevice1 Connect a USB massstorage class device (see page 13)while the system is turned off.2 Turn on the system. (see page 16)3 Select “USB MEMORY” as thesource. (see page 16)4 Start playback.On the remote control:Press USB MEMORY 6.On the center unit:Press iPod/USB MEMORYCONTROL ‹/8.The operations of the files in a USB mass storage classdevice depend on the file types stored in the device.For MP3/WMA/WAV filesThe file control display (see page 24) appears on theTV screen.For JPEG filesEach file (still pictures) is shown on the TV screen forabout 3 seconds (slide-show). When stop the playback,the file control display (see page 24) appears on the TVscreen.For MPEG-1/MPEG-2/ASF filesPressing TOP MENU or MENU shows the file controldisplay (see page 24) on the TV screen duringplayback.NOTE• When several types of files are recorded on a device, select filetype you want to play on the setup menu. (See page 24.)• When playback is stopped, the file type is shown on thedisplay window instead of elapsed playing time.7 Screen saverAn image may burn in on a TV screen if a static picture isdisplayed for a long time.
