54 EN TIMER RECORDING ON VHS DECKYou can programme this unit to timer-record as many as 8programmes.With the a system, timer programming is greatly simplifiedbecause each TV programme has a corresponding code numberwhich your unit is able to recognise.You can use the remote control to enter the a number.1 Load a cassette with the record safety tab intact.2 Press VHS so that the VHS lamp lights up on the unit.3 Press PROGRAMME to accessthe Programme screen.4 Press F G to selectASHOWVIEW PRGMB, thenpress ENTER.5 Press the number keys to enterthe a number of aprogramme you wish to record,then press ENTER.● If you have made a mistake,press CANCEL and input thecorrect number before you pressENTER.● If the number you entered isinvalid, AERRORB appears on the TV screen and AErrB appearson the front display panel.Press CANCEL and input a valid a number.6 The a number youentered and the matching timer-recording information aredisplayed on the TV screen.Check the programme data.● To cancel this setting, pressPROGRAMME.7 Press REC MODE to select the desired recording mode. Orpress D E to select ASP/LPB, then press F G to select thedesired recording mode.8 Press D E to select AVPS/PDCB, then press F G to select thedesired channel.9 Press ENTER to complete timer programming.● To programme another timer, repeat steps 3 – 9.● If APROGRAM OVERLAPPEDB appears on the TV screen, seepage 56.10 Press VHSj to engage the unit’s timer mode. The VHSrecording lamp lights up on the unit and the HDD or DVD deckis automatically selected. Press A to turn off the unit. Whenthe HDD or DVD deck is in timer standby mode, the unit isautomatically turned off.● The VHS timer indicator lights up on the front display panelwhen the VHS deck is set to the timer recording standbymode by pressing VHSj. However, it will blink rapidly whenVHSj is pressed under the following conditions:● Clock is not set.● Timer programming has not been set.● Cassette is not loaded.● Timer recording standby mode with a cassette without record safetytab inserted● To disengage the timer mode, press VHSj again.NOTES:● To Timer-Record Weekly Or Daily Serials:^ in step 6, press number keys A9B for weekly serials ornumber keys A8B for daily serials (Monday - Friday). EitherAWEEKLYB or ADAILYB appears on the TV screen. Pressing thebutton again makes the corresponding indication disappear.● You can programme this unit to timer-record as many as 8programmes. If you try to programme the unit to record a ninth,APROGRAM FULLB appears on the TV screen and AFULLBappears on the front display panel. To record the extraprogramme, you must first cancel any unnecessary programmes.(A pg. 56)● To record the programmes received by satellite receiver, recordon the HDD or the DVD discs.
