13Playing Back the Entire Disc—Normal Play1 Press 0 OPEN on the unit.The disc cover opens.• You can insert a disc while listening to another source.2 Place a disc correctly with its label side up.3 Close the disc cover gently.Playing Back DiscsThis unit has been designed to play back the followingdiscs—CD, CD-R, and CD-RW.When playing a CD-R or CD-RWUser-edited CD-Rs (CD-Recordable) and CD-RWs (CD-ReWritable) can be played only if they are already“finalized.”• Usually you can play back your original CD-Rs or CD-RWs recorded in music CD format. However, sometimesthey may not play depending on their characteristics orrecording conditions.• Before playing CD-Rs or CD-RWs, read their instructionsor cautions carefully.• Some CD-Rs or CD-RWs may not play on this unit becauseof their disc characteristics, damage or stain on them, or ifthe player’s lens is dirty.• CD-RWs may require a longer readout time.
