22 - EnglishTroubleshooting6 Troubleshooting6.1 General troubleshootingThe different faults which may occur on the product aredivided into four groups. Within each grouppossible operating faults are listed to the left while theprobable fault alternatives are listed to the right. Themost likely fault is listed first, etcetera.Engine does not startPossible problem ActionFuel valve OFF Move fuel valve lever to ONposition.Choke open Move choke lever to CLOSEDposition unless engine is warm.Ignition switch OFF Turn ignition switch to ON.Out of fuel. Refuel.Bad fuel pumpstored withouttreating or drain-ing gasoline, orrefueled with badgasoline.Drain fuel tank and carburetor.Refuel with fresh gasoline.Spark plug faulty,fouled, or improp-erly gapped.Gap or replace spark plug.Spark plug wet withfuel flooded engine.Dry and reinstall spark plug.Start engine with throttle lever inFAST position.Fuel filter clogged,carburetor mal-function, ignitionmalfunction, valvesstuck, etc.Do a troubleshooting, repair,clean or replace damaged com-ponents.Engine lacks powerPossible problem ActionAir filter clogged.
