MACHINE´S SAFETY EQUIPMENT6 – EnglishGeneralThis section describes the machine´s safety equipment,its purpose, and how checks and maintenance should becarried out to ensure that it operates correctly.This machine is used in combination with other products.Please read the manual provided with the productscarefully and make sure you understand the instructionsbefore using the machine.Check safety equipment daily.Also check the safety equipment on the power tool that isto be connected to the power unit, see the operator’smanual for the respective power tool to check the safetyequipment.Emergency stop and stop buttonThe emergency stops on the unit and on the remotecontrol slow the connected tool and disconnect it from thepower supply.Testing the emergency stop• Check that the emergency stop button is not pressedby turning it clockwise.• Start the connected tool.• Press the emergency stop and check that theconnected tool stops. Make sure that the powerindicator on the power pack goes out a few secondsafter the connected tool has stopped.• When using the wall saw, the stop button should becontrolled in the same way.Residual-current device (RCD)The power pack is fitted with a residual-current device. Aresidual-current device is fitted to protect operators incase an electrical fault should occur.Check the residual-current device• Connect the power unit to a grounded 3-phase outlet.• Open the cover on the residual-current device toaccess the switch (1) and test button (2).• Set the control in the residual-current device inposition 1.• Press the test button. The residual-current devicemust trigger to disconnect the unit from the powersupply.• Reset the residual-current device by first setting theswitch to 0 and then to 1.• Refit and tighten the cover.The residual-current device must be tested every twoweeks with the test button.! WARNING! Never use a machine that hasfaulty safety equipment! If your machinefails any checks contact your serviceagent to get it repaired.1 2
