MACHINE´S SAFETY EQUIPMENTEnglish – 7GeneralThis section describes the machine´s safety equipment,its purpose, and how checks and maintenance should becarried out to ensure that it operates correctly.Power buttonThis button, when depressed, will turn on power supply tothe unit when the EMERGENCY STOP button has beenreleased.Checking the power button• Check that the emergency stop button is not pressedby turning it clockwise.• Press the power button. On doing so, a soft 'clunk”should be heard to come from within the electricalcabinet. This indicates the line contactors haveengaged, supplying power to the drives/frequencyconverters.• Press the emergency stop.• Turn the stop/run switch to ”RUN”.• The machine must not start.Stop/run switchThe Stop/run switch is used to turn the engines on and off.! WARNING! Never use a machine withfaulty safety equipment.
