3. Make sure that the motor has the correct direction ofrotation. The correct direction is shown with an arrowon top of the fan cover.4. If it is necessary, change the direction of rotationof the motor. Refer toTo change the direction ofrotation of the motor (3-phase only) on page 14.To change the direction of rotation of themotor (3-phase only)1. Set the ON/OFF switch to 0 to stop the motor. RefertoTo stop the product on page 14.2. Wait until the product has fully stopped.3. Disconnect the extension cord from the power plugon the product.4. Turn the inverter switch in the power plug on theproduct to the opposite position.5. Connect the power cord and do a check of thedirection of rotation of the motor. Refer toTo do acheck of the direction of rotation of the motor onpage 13.To start the product1. Push down the handle lightly to lift the grindinghead from the surface, approximately 1 mm. Thisdecreases the pressure against the surface. Do notlift the grinding head fully from the surface.-1 mm2. Turn the ON/OFF switch to 1 to start the product. Inless than 5 seconds the product operates at the idlespeed.To stop the productCAUTION: Do not lift the tool plate fromthe surface when you stop the motor. Thetool plate rotates for a while after the motorstops. Much off the dust can blow off in tothe air and the surface can be damaged.CAUTION: If you grind adhesiveasphalt, paint or equivalent material, lift upthe front of the product slightly when the toolplate stops.
