Note: The first weeks after installation the sound levelwhen the product cuts the grass can be higher thanusual. The sound level decreases after some time.3.4 To examine where to put thereference stationCAUTION: If there is a lightning rodnear by, do not install the reference stationhigher than the lightning rod.CAUTION: Do not install the referencestation on a flagpole. Movements of thereference station will affect the correctiondata sent to the product with the accurateposition.• Install the reference station on a fixed object thatcannot move or rotate.• Install the reference station on a post or a wall. Thepost must be 27-36 mm / 1.1-2.2 in. in diameter tofit the attachments on the reference station.Note: If the reference station is installed on awall the top of the reference station must be abovethe wall. Metal objects can cause interference withthe reference station signal.• Make sure that the reference station has full viewof the sky. It is necessary that minimum 135degrees of the sky has a full view.135°• Install the reference station at minimum 2 m / 6.5ft. height.• Make sure that the distance between the referencestation and the robotic lawn mower is less than100 m / 330 ft. Objects between the referencestation and robotic lawn mower can decrease thedistance.3.5 To examine where to put the powersupply• Put the power supply in an area with a roof andprotection from the sun and rain.• Put the power supply in an area with good airflow.• Use a residual-current device (RCD) when youconnect the power supply to the power outlet.• Extend the low-voltage cable if necessary. Thelow-voltage cable can be extended up to 100 m /328 ft.3.6 To examine where to put thecharging station• You can put the charging station within the workarea or outside the work area. No transport pathis necessary if the charging station is put in thework area (A). No transport path is necessary ifthe product is fully in the work area when it is atthe charging station docking point. If the chargingstation and docking point (B) are not in the workarea, you must install a transport path (C).A BC• You can put the charging station in anAutomower® house.• Put the charging station (A) where the dockingpoint (B) has unimpeded sky view. The chargingstation docking point (B) is where the productstops after reversing from the charging station. Thereversing distance can be set to 70-250 cm / 28-98in.
