SAFETY INSTRUCTIONSEnglish – 223Personal protective equipment• Gloves should be worn when necessary.• Wear hearing protection that provides adequate noisereduction.• Always wear approved eye protection. If you use avisor then you must also wear approved protectivegoggles. Approved protective goggles must complywith standard ANSI Z87.1 in the USA or EN 166 in EUcountries. Blows from branches or objects that arethrown can damage the eyes.• Wear sturdy, non-slip boots.• Always wear heavy, long pants, boots, gloves, and along-sleeve shirt. To reduce the risk of injuryassociated with objects being drawn into rotatingparts, do not wear loose clothing, scarves, jewelry,etc. Secure hair so it is above shoulder level.• A breathing mask should be used when there is a riskof dust.• Always have a first aid kit nearby.! WARNING! You must use approvedpersonal protective equipment wheneveryou use the machine. Personal protectiveequipment cannot eliminate the risk ofinjury but it will reduce the degree ofinjury if an accident does happen. Askyour dealer for help in choosing the rightequipment. Please read the operator’smanual carefully and make sure youunderstand the instructions before usingthe machine.! WARNING! Listen out for warning signalsor shouts when you are wearing hearingprotection. Always remove your hearingprotection as soon as the engine stops.
