3012-1445English - 52MENU FUNCTIONSLawn coverageThis menu function is used to steer the robotic lawnmowerto remote parts of a working area. This important functionis used to maintain an even mowing result in the entireworking area. In very complex yards with for instancemany areas which are joined by narrow passages, themowing result can be improved by making a number ofmanual settings as described below.It is also possible to test exit settings and to identify thedistance from the charging station to a remote area.The factory settings in Automower® 430X andAutomower® 450X use a built-in GPS to check whichareas are mowed and thereby which areas need to bemowed next. Automower® 430X and Automower® 450Xcan in this way automatically get to parts of the workingarea that are hard to reach.IMPORTANT INFORMATIONNo manual settings need to be made ifGPS assisted navigation is used.The factory settings in Automower® 420 allow the roboticlawnmower to follow the guide wire 300 meters in 20 % ofthe times it leaves the charging station.GPS assisted navigationFor Automower® 430X and Automower® 450X only.GPS assisted navigation uses an inbuilt GPS to checkwhich areas are mowed and thereby which areas needto be mowed next. After a number of days operating,the robotic lawnmower creates a map of the workingarea and where the guide wires are laid. In this waythe Automower® 430X and Automower® 450X canautomatically set distance and proportion for hard toreach parts of the working area.The automatic settings made by the robotic lawnmowercannot be read in the display.IMPORTANT INFORMATIONIf the same robotic lawnmower is usedfor two or more charging stations that areclose together (neighbors for instance),the GPS assisted navigation can only beused in one of the working areas.
