641502 50 70-01 502 71 27-01Cylinder and pistonAssemblyLubricate the gudgeon pin’s needlebearing with a few drops of engine oil.AssemblyLubricate the gudgeon pin’s needlebearing with a few drops of engine oil.Stick the spacer washers (A) in place witha little grease on each side of the needlebearing in the gudgeon pin.Direct the arrow on the top of the pistontowards the exhaust port.Press in the gudgeon pin and fit thecirclips.NOTE!Place a rag in the crankcase opening to prevent the retaining rings from fallinginto the crankcase.Check that the retaining rings are correctly fitted into the grooves by turningthem with flat nosed pliers.Check that the pulse channel in thecylinder is open.Assemble the cylinder with the help ofassembly set 502 50 70-01.Check that the pulse channel in thecylinder is open.Place a new cylinder base gasket on thecylinder or the crankcase. Lubricate thepiston and the crank bearing with a fewdrops of engine oil.Assemble the cylinder with the help of thepiston ring compressor in the assemblyset 502 50 70-01.NOTE!Do not turn the cylinder, as thepiston ring can easily break.Tighten the 2 screwsdiagonally crosswise.Wear tolerancesPiston ring playPiston ring groovePiston ring gapCylinder boreWhen the surface coating isworn and aluminium appears.Max. 1.0 mm with the pistonring inserted in the lower part ofthe cylinder.Max. 1.6 mm.
