Testing should always becarried out after the carburettor has been repaired,but a test can also be made for troubleshootingbefore dismantling.Option 1Carry out the check as follows:1Connect pressure tester to the carburettor fuel inlet.2Submerge the carburettor into a container withwater. See figure 43.3Pump up the pressure to 20 kPa.4No leakage is permitted. If leakage occurs refer tothe table below.Option 2Carry out the check as follows:1Plug the connections to the fuel inlet.2Create a vacuum to the purge nipple on the car-burettor. No leakage is permitted. In the case ofleakage, leakage spray can be used even if it is dif-ficult.
