When you buy any ofour products we guarantee the availability ofprofessional repairs and service. If theretailer who sells your machine is not aservicing dealer, ask him for the address ofyour nearest service agent.To do a check of the keypad1. Press and hold the start/stop button (A). (Fig. 25)a) The product is started when the LED (B) comeson.b) The product is stopped when the LED (B) goesoff.2. Refer toKeypad on page 15 if the warning indicator(C) comes on or flashes.To do a check of the power trigger lockoutThe power trigger lockout prevents accidental start.When you push the power trigger lockout (A), it releasesthe power trigger (B). When you release the handle, thepower trigger and the power trigger lockout move backto their initial positions. This movement is operated byindependent springs.(Fig. 26)1. Make sure that the power trigger is locked when thepower trigger lockout is in its initial position. (Fig. 27)2. Push the power trigger and make sure that it movesback to its initial position when you release it. (Fig.28)3. Make sure that the power trigger and the lock movesfreely and that the return spring works correctly. (Fig.29)4. Start the product. Refer toTo start the product onpage 13.5. Apply full power.6. Release the power trigger and make sure that thecutting attachment stops fully.To do a check of the cutting attachment guardWARNING: Do not use a cutting attachmentwithout an approved and correctly attachedcutting attachment guard. Always use therecommended cutting attachment guard forthe cutting attachment that you use, seeTechnical data on page 16. If an incorrector faulty cutting attachment guard isattached, it can cause serious personalinjury.The cutting attachment guard stops objects that eject inthe direction of the operator. The cutting attachmentguard also prevents injuries that can occur if you touchthe cutting attachment.1. Stop the motor.2. Do a visual check for damages, for example cracks.3. Replace the cutting attachment guard if it isdamaged.Cutting equipmentSelect correct cutting equipment and do maintenance onthe cutting equipment to:• Get maximum cutting performance.• Increase lifetime of the cutting equipment.WARNING: Only use cutting attachmentswith the guards we recommend! SeeTechnical data on page 16. Refer to theinstructions for the cutting attachment to findthe correct way to load the trimmer line andthe correct trimmer line diameter.WARNING: A defective cutting attachmentmay increase the risk of accidents.WARNING: Always stop the engine beforeyou do the work on the cutting attachment.This continues to rotate after you release thethrottle. Make sure that the cuttingattachment has stopped fully and disconnectthe spark plug cap before you start the workon it.Trimmer headWARNING: Always make sure the trimmerline is wound tightly and evenly around thedrum to prevent harmful vibration.(Fig. 30)• Only use recommended trimmer heads and trimmerlines.• Only use recommended cutting attachments.• Smaller machines requires small trimmer heads andvice versa.• The length of the trimmer line is important.
