3. Make sure that the blastmotor has the correctdirection of rotation. The correct direction is shownwith an arrow on top of the fan cover.4. If it is necessary, change the direction of rotationof the motor. Refer toTo change the direction ofrotation of the motor (3-phase only) on page 15.To change the direction of rotation ofthe motor (3-phase only)1. Turn the ON/OFF switch to the OFF position.2. Wait until the product has fully stopped.3. Disconnect the extension cord from the power plugon the product.4. Turn the inverter switch in the power plug on theproduct to the opposite position.5. Connect the power cord and do a check of thedirection of rotation of the motor. Refer toTo do acheck of the direction of rotation of the motor onpage 14.To select the correct speedIt is important to do the operation with correct drivespeed for best result. If the surface has different quality,adjust the drive speed for an equal result. Examine theresult and adjust the speed if it is necessary.• Turn the speed control dial clockwise to increase thespeed.• Turn the speed control dial counterclockwise todecrease the speed.a) Use drive speed 6–10 on concrete surfaces forlight treatment.b) Use drive speed 0–5 on concrete surfaces forheavy treatment.c) Use drive speed 0–2 on steel surfaces.To start the product1. Connect the product to a power supply. Refer toToconnect the product to a power source on page 14.2. Start the dust extractor. Refer to the operator'smanual of the dust extractor.3. Attach the dust extractor hose to the product. RefertoTo connect a dust extractor on page 14.4.
