29Chapter 4 - CALIBRATION MODEHI9828HI9828HI9828HI9828HI9828 allows to perform six different types of calibration, one for each pa-rameter, and a quick single-point procedure for some of them.Calibration data are stored in the non volatile memory of the probe, so that thesame probe can be used with different meters without needing new calibration.• To perform a calibration procedure, select the“Calibration” option from the main menu andpress .NoteNoteNoteNoteNote If password protection is enabled andthe latest performed action was a notpassword protected feature, the meterwill ask to insert the password.• Select the desired calibration type with the arrow keys and then press .Available options are:Quick calibration (single point procedure to calibrate DO saturation, pH andconductivity ranges), pH, DO, conductivity, atmospheric pressure, ORP and tem-perature.4.1 QUICK CALIBRATIONThe quick calibration feature allows a fast and easy field calibration of themultisensor probe, using only one solution (HI9828-25HI9828-25HI9828-25HI9828-25HI9828-25).• Fill the calibration beaker with the HI9828-25HI9828-25HI9828-25HI9828-25HI9828-25 calibration solution.• Screw the calibration beaker on the probe body. Some solution will overflow.• Wait a few minutes for the system to stabilize.• Select the “Quick calibration” option from the“Calibration” menu and press .• A 3-item (pH, Conductivity and Dissolved oxy-gen) screen appears. “pH” starts blinking andthe “Not ready” message is shown.
