29sc100 Operation4.8 ORP CalibrationThe manufacturer offers a one point manual calibration for ORP. The value of the sampleused in the manual calibration may be determined by laboratory analysis or comparisonreading.4.8.1 ORP Calibration ProcedureFor a precise calibration of the ORP electrode, a standard solution is required. Themanufacturer recommends using a one point standard solution calibration. Use thesolution as follows:1. Holding the flow chamber nut in position, unscrew the flow chamber (Figure 7 onpage 24).2. Empty the water from the flow chamber and rinse with demineralized water.3. Rinse the electrodes with demineralized water.4. Fill flow chamber with the standard solution and reinstall.5. Calibrate following the one-point calibration method (section 4.8.2).6. Remove the flow chamber, empty the solution and rinse the flow chamber andelectrodes with demineralized water.7. Reinstall the flow chamber.8. Turn on the sample stream to the flow of 100–300 mL/min (100–300 cc/min).9. Allow the sample to flow through the assembly for a minimum of one hour.10. Using a qualified standard meter do an overflow method sample measurement,(Figure 8 on page 31).11. Compare this reading with the reading on the controller. If the reading is different, do asingle point sample calibration on the controller so that it reads the same as thestandard meter.
