Verify that the external device or PC resolution setting is correct. Adjust tothe appropriate resolution.An afterimage appears on thescreen.A fixed picture, such as a logo, video game, or computer image, cancause a permanent afterimage to appear on the plasma TV screen. Thisproduct is not designed to display fixed images for extended periods oftime. Minor occurrences of afterimage may be reduced by running theWhite Wash option in the OSD System Menu; see “Using White Wash”on page 40.Symptom RemedyThe remote control does not work. Check the following, and try the proposed solution:■ Batteries are inserted with polarity aligned.■ Make sure the remote control batteries are fresh. If they are worn out,replace the batteries with new batteries.■ Make sure the remote control is within correct operating range.■ Make sure the remote sensor window is not under too much light,direct sunlight, or strong artificial light.■ Make sure there are no obstacles; check that there is nothing betweenthe remote control and the sensor window on the display.■ Make sure the remote control is aimed at your TV and is not fartherthan 16.4 feet (5 meters) away.The remote control does not controlother home entertainment equipment.This is not a universal remote control. It only works with your HPtelevision.My universal remote control does notfind an HP TV code.When you want to program a universal remote control to operate yourHP TV, if HP is not listed in the supported brand codes, use a Philips TVcode. The HP remote control transmits Philips-licensed remote controlcodes.After programming your universal remote control with a Philips TV code,it can operate your HP TV functions for: volume, mute, power, and inputsource.
