Removing an I/O module significantly changes theair flow within the enclosure. Both I/O modules must be installedfor the enclosure to cool properly. If an I/O module fails, leaveit in place in the enclosure until a new module is available toinstall. The enclosure could shut down due to overheating unlessthe I/O module is replaced within seven minutes of removal inan active enclosure.Parts can be damaged by electrostatic discharge. Use properanti-static protection. Refer to the documentation that shippedwith your system for additional information.NOTE:Port-colored (purple) latches on components like the I/O modulemeans the component is hot-swappable. This module can beremoved and replaced without having to power the systemdown.There are two I/O modules on the rear of the disk enclosure.See Figure 1 for the locations.2. I/O module B1.
