6 zūmo 600 Series Owner’s ManualGetting StartedInstalling the Battery1. Locate the lithium‑ion battery that came inthe product box.2. Slide the release key until the batterycover on the back of the zūmo pops up.3. Locate the metal contacts on the end ofthe lithium‑ion battery.4. Insert the battery so that the metalcontacts on the battery align withthe metal contacts inside the batterycompartment.5. Replace the battery cover.CauTion: Always keep the batteryinstalled when the zūmo is on.Mounting Your zūmo in anAutomobileWarning: Do not use the suction cupmount on a motorcycle.1. Plug the automotive power cable into thepower connector on the right side of thecradle.CradleAutomotivepower cableRelease button2. Remove the clear plastic from the suctioncup. Clean and dry your windshield andthe suction cup with a lint‑free cloth.Suction cup mount3. Place the suction cup on the windshield.4. Flip the lever back, toward the windshield.5. Snap the cradle onto the suction cup arm.6. Fit the bottom of your zūmo into thecradle.7. Tilt the zūmo back until it snaps intoplace.8. Plug the other end of the automotivepower cable into a power outlet in yourcar.9. If you are using a traffic receiver inEurope, secure the antenna on the trafficreceiver to the windshield using thesuction cups.Warning: This product contains a lithium-ion battery. To prevent damage, remove theunit from the vehicle when exiting or store itout of direct sunlight.
