The items in the File Menu work like mostWindows-based programs.Comm MenuThe Comm (Communication) Menu allows you to set the port number and baud rate, as well as connect to the sensorand disconnect from the sensor.Setup: Opens the Comm Setup window. Select the serial port to which thesensor is connected from the drop-down list. Select Auto (the programdetermines the baud rate on its own) or Manual (you enter the baud rate) forthe baud rate entry.Connect: Select Connect to connect to the sensor in order to change orview the configuration.Disconnect: Select Disconnect to disconnect from the sensor.Config MenuThe Config (Configuration) Menu allows youto configure the sensor as it is connected.Sensor Configuration (F6): Opens theSensor Configuration window, shown to theright. Many of the fields in this windowshould not be changed. Refer to the beginningof this manual for information on many ofthese fields. This window is used to enter anew latitude, longitude, and altitude for thesensor. This is especially helpful when youare programming the sensor for use in aparticular geographic location.Click Reset Unit to perform a reset on theunit, much like cycling the power.Resetting the non-volatile memory (ResetNonVol) clears all of the data from the non-volatile memory.NMEA Sentence Selections (F7): Displays the NMEA Sentence Selectionswindow. If the sentence is enabled, a check mark appears in the box to theleft of the sentence name. Click the box to enable or disable to the sentence.
