6. MaintenanceClean filter:2w1DANGER! Electric shock!There is a risk of injury from electric shocks.v Before maintenance, unplug the Rain Water TankPump from the mains.In order to ensure continuous trouble-free operation, the filter wshould be cleaned at regular intervals.After pumping dirty water, the filter must be cleaned immediately.1. Press the two locks 1 and remove the foot 2 from the pump.2. Turn filter w 1/4 to the left and remove (bayonet lock).3. Clean filter w under running water.4. Re-install filter w in the opposite sequence.7. Trouble-ShootingDANGER! Electric shock!There is a risk of injury from electric shocks.v Before correcting functional problems unplug theRain Water Tank Pump from the mains.Problem Possible Cause RemedyPump is running,but doesn’t deliverAir cannot escape, because thepressure line is closed. (Possiblekink in the pressure hose.)v Open the pressure line(e. g. shut-off valve,delivery units).Air in suction foot. v Wait for about max.60 seconds until the pumphas vented; if necessary,turn off and then on again.Foot / Suction foot / Filter isclogged.v Unplug at the mains and cleanfilter (see 6. Maintenance).Water level below minimumwater level when put intooperation.v Submerge the pump deeper.Pump does not start,or stops suddenly duringoperationThermal switch has turnedthe pump off because ofoverheating.v Unplug at the mains and cleanfilter (see 6. Maintenance).Observe max. mediatemperature (35 °C).Pumping without electricity. v Check fuses and electricalplug connections.Pump is running but thedelivery drops suddenlyFoot / Suction foot / Filter isclogged.v Unplug at the mains and cleanfilter (see 6. Maintenance).Only with 1742:Pump irregularly switcheson and offLeakage protection activateddue to leaking.v Check telescopic tube, hoseand dispensing device andremove leakage.15GB
