In Canada, mobile home installation must bein accordance with the current CAN/CSA Z240/MHMobile Home Installation Code.Electric Disconnect Locate disconnect plug on the range back. Pinch sides of connector and pull out of range back.SEAL THE OPENINGS4Seal any openings in the wall behind the range and in thefloor under the range when hookups are completed.CHECK IGNITION OF SURFACEBURNERS5Operation of all cooktop and oven burners should bechecked after the range and gas supply lines have beencarefully checked for leaks.Electric Ignition ModelsSelect a top burner knob and simultaneously pushin and turn to LITE position. You will hear a clickingsound indicating proper operation of the sparkmodule. Once the air has been purged from thesupply lines, burners should light within 4 seconds.After burner lights, rotate knob out of the LITEposition. Try each burner in succession until allburners have been checked.Quality of FlamesThe combustion quality of burner flames needs to bedetermined visually.If burner flames look like (A), call for service. Normalburner flames should look like (B) or (C), dependingon the type of gas you use.With LP gas, some yellow tipping on outer conesis normal.(C) Soft blueflames—Normal fornatural gas(B) Yellow tips onouter cones—Normal for LP gas(A) Yellow flames—Call for serviceCHECK IGNITION OF OVEN BURNER6The oven is designed to operate quietly and automatically.To operate the oven, press the BAKE pad and then press thenumber pads until 350° appears in the display. Touch theSTART pad. After 30–90 seconds, the oven burner will igniteand burn until the set temperature is reached. The ovenburner will continue to cycle on and off as necessary tomaintain the oven at the temperature indicated by the display.To check ignition of the broil burner, touch the BROILHI/LO pad and then the START pad. After 30–90 seconds,the broil burner will ignite.Electric ignition models require electrical power to operate.In case of a power outage, the oven burners on these modelscannot be lit manually with a match. Gas will not flow unlessthe glow bar is hot.If the oven is in use when a power outage occurs, the burnerwill shut off and cannot be re-lit until power is restored.49
