See illustration.Fasten brackets to top screws on the frontside of the vent, secure to cabinet side walljust below the countertop. Or,Fasten one bracket to vent side and secureto cabinet back wall.Install two brackets on the bottom of thevent. Attach brackets to slide screws onthe vent and to the floor using wood screws(not supplied).When installing in a tile countertop surface, it may benecessary to apply a locally approved caulking to coverany gaps.Optional methodSecure to cabinet sidewith top screw on caseOr use second screwSecure the lower bracketsto blower housingPreferred methodSecure the upperbrackets with screwslocated on the side ofcase and attach to backof cabinetInstall the DuctworkUse minimum 26″gauge galvanized or 24 gaugealuminum duct 3 1⁄4 ″x 10″or 6″round. PVC ductshould be used if installing under a pouredconcrete slab.nDO NOT USE flexible ducting.n Always use appropriate roof or wall cap withdamper. Laundry type wall caps should neverbe used.n Use the straightest duct run possible.n For satisfactory performance the duct runshould not exceed 150 ft. or its equivalentlength when bends or various fittings are used.Refer to the table of equivalent lengths tocalculate your installation.n Install ductwork so the piece of duct nearest thedowndraft unit slotsINTO the next piece of theduct.
