See illustration.Fasten brackets to top screws on the frontside of the vent, secure to cabinet side walljust below the countertop. Or,Fasten one bracket to vent side and secureto cabinet back wall.Install two brackets on the bottom of thevent. Laundry type wall caps should neverbe used.n Use the straightest duct run possible.n For satisfactory performance the duct runshould not exceed 150 ft. or its equivalentlength when bends or various fittings are used.Refer to the table of equivalent lengths tocalculate your installation.n Install ductwork so the piece of duct nearest thedowndraft unit slotsINTO the next piece of theduct.
