Whenreplacing the knobs, check the OFF position to insureproper alignment.Hint: Slip a thin cloth (such as a handkerchief) or apiece of string under and around the knob edge andpull up. Clean the knobs with detergent and warmwater, using a soft cloth. DO NOT scour the knobs.To replace the knobs:1. The knob stem has a groove in each side. Thegroove on 1 side has a spring clip. The othergroove is clear (see illustration).2. Check the inside of the knob and find themolded rib.3. Replace the knob by fitting the molded rib insidethe knob into the clear groove on the stem.Cl’ear GrooveControl PanelWash with soap and water. Rinse with clean waterand dry with a paper towel. Do not use scouringpads or abrasive cleaners because they maydamage the finish.Broiler Pan and RackAfter broiling, remove the broiler pan from the oven.Remove the rack from the pan. carefully pour out thegrease in the pan into a proper container. Wash andrinse the pan and rack in hot soapy water.If food has burned on, sprinkle the rack while hot withdetergent and cover with wet paper towels or a =dishcloth. Burned-on foods will soak loose while themeal is being served. Do not store a soiled broiler pan and :rack in the oven.Do not clean in the self-cleaning oven.The broiler pan and rack may also be cleaned in—a dishwasher.28
