Keep this guide handy where you can refer toit, especially during the first weeks of using your new range.Before Using Your OvenElectric IgnitionPower OutageCAUTION: Do not make any attempt to operate the electric ignitionoven during an electrical power failure.The oven or broiler cannot be lit during a power failure. Gas will not flowunless the glow bar is hot.If the oven is in use when a power failure occurs, the oven burner shutsoff and cannot be re-lit until power is restored. This is because the flowof gas is automatically stopped and will not resume when power isrestored until the glow bar has reached operating temperature.Oven MoistureAs your oven heats up, the temperature change of the air in the oven maycause water droplets to form on the door glass. These droplets are harmlessand will evaporate as the oven continues to heat up.Fluorescent Night Light (on some models) Oven LightUse the switch on the upper control panel to turnthe light on and off.Use the switch on the lower control panel to turn thelight on or off.Oven Control, Clock and Timer Using Your OvenAutomatic Oven Shut OffAs a safety feature, this oven will automatically shut itself off if it has beenleft on for more than 12 hours.
