OPERATING THE SELF-CLEANING OVENNormal Cleaning Time: 3 hoursBefore a Clean CycleQuick Reminder:1. Prepare the oven for cleaning.2. Close and latch the oven door,3, Press the AUTO CLEAN or AUTO SELFCLEAN pad,4, Press the + or- pad.If you wish to change the preset Clean Time of3 hours, press the + or- pad until the desiredStop Time appears in the displayWe recommend venting with an open windowor using a ventilation fan or hood during the firstself-clean cycle°1. Remove the broiler pan, broiler grid, all cookwareand any aluminum foi! from the oven they cannotwithstand the high cleaning temperatures.NOTE: Take the shelves out of the oven before youbegin the self-clean cycle.2. Wipe up heavy soil on the oven bottom. If youuse soap, rinse thoroughly before self-cleaningto prevent staining.Oven _ _ [1iightOvenfrontframe3, Clean spatters or spills on the oven front frame, andthe oven door outside the gasket with a dampenedcloth The oven front frame and the oven door outsidethe gasket do not get cleaned by the self-clean cycle°On these areas use detergent and hot water or a soap-filled steel woo! pad, Rinse well with a vinegar andwater solution. This wi!l help prevent a brown residuefrom forming when the oven is heated° Buff theseareas with a dry cloth° Do not clean the gasket.Clean the top, sides and outside front of the ovendoor with soap and water. Do not use abrasives oroven cleaners.Make sure the oven Light bulb cover is in place.Do not rub or clean the door gasket--the fiberglass material of the gasket has anextremely low resistance to abrasion_ An intactand well-fitting oven door gasket is essential forenergy-efficient oven operation and good bakingresults.
