How to Set the Oven for CleaningQuick Reminder:1. Prepare the oven for cleaning°2. Close and latch the oven door°3. Press the AUTO CLEAN or AUTO SELFCLEAN pad.4. Press the + or - pad°If you wish to change the preset Clean Time of 3hours, press the + or - pad until the desired StopTime appears in the display.1. Follow the directions in the Before a Clean Cyclesection.2. Close the oven door and slidethe latch handle to the right asfar as it wilt go°Never force the door latchhandle. Forcing the handlemay damage the door lockmechanism.3. Press the AUTO CLEAN or AUTOSELF CLEAN pad_4. Press the + or - pad until the desired Clean Timeis displayed.The Clean Time is normally 3 hours° You can changethe Clean Time to any time between 2 and 4 hours,depending on the amount of soil in your oven°The self-clean cycle will automatically beginafter "CLEAN" is displayed and the word "ON"appears in the display. When the oven heats to ahigh temperature, the word "LOCK" will be displayedand a short time later, the door latch handle will belocked in position. It will not be possible to open theoven door until the LOCK light goes off and the ovenlllllllr.k has cooled below locking temperature.5. When the LOCK light is off,slide the latch handle to theIeft as far as it wiU go and "d'=iaiIl|ll!open the door.To Stop a Clean CyclePress the CLEAR]OFF pad. This will stop the cleaning cycle butyou will not be able to open the door unti! the oven cools below thelocking temperatureAfter a Clean CycleWhen the clean cycle is finished, the word "CLEAN"will go out in the display and the oven will begin tocool. When the oven temperature has fallen below thelocking tempera_re, the word "LOCK" goes out andthe door can be opened.After a clean cycle, you may notice some white ashin the oven. Just wipe it up with a damp cloth.If white spots remain, remove them with a soap-filledsteel woo! pad..Be sure m rinse thoroughly with avinegar and water mixture. These deposits are usually asalt residue that cannot be removed by the clean cycle.If the oven is not clean after one clean cycle, the cyclemay be repeated.(continued next page)25©t_©t_i
