No commercial oven cleaner or oven liner protective coating of any kindshould be used in or around any part of the oven. Residue from oven cleaners will damage the insideof the oven when the self-clean cycle is used. Do not clean the door gasket. The door gasketis essential for a good seal. Care should betaken not to rub, damage or move the gasket. Before self-cleaning the oven, remove theconvection roasting rack, broiler pan, gridand other cookware. Shiny, silver-colored oven racks (on somemodels) should be removed from the ovenbefore beginning the self-clean cycle. Gray porcelain-coated oven racks (on somemodels) may be cleaned in the oven duringthe self-clean cycle. Be sure to wipe up excess spillage beforestarting the self-cleaning operation.
