Do not touch any of the burnerswhen the igniters are sparking.Auto relight The burners on this gas cooktop automaticallyrelight if the flame goes out. This helps preventthe inconvenience of manually having torelight a burner. As with automatic ignition, allof the burner igniters spark while a burner isrelighting. Do not touch any of the burnerswhen the igniters are sparking.The burners will relight at any setting.However, for the burners to light quickly andconsistently when the gas is turned on, theknobs should be turned to the LITE positionuntil ignition occurs.PoweroutageIn case of a power outage, you can light thesurface burners on your cooktop with a match.Holding a lighted match to the burner, turnthe knob to the LO position.If the knob setting is toward HI, the flameflare-up could burn your hand. Use extremecaution when lighting burners manually.Cookware should not be in place over theburner when lighting a burner this way.Surface burners in use when an electricalpower failure occurs will continue to operatenormally.
