To clear the current settings file, create a defaultsettings file, write it to the relay, then delete all other .urs files. For the existing installation, upgrading the firmwareoverwrites the flash memory. Other files can be in standard formats, such as COMTRADE or .csv.You cannot erase directly the flash memory, but all records and settings in that memory can be deleted. Do this using theSETTINGS PRODUCT SETUP CLEAR RELAY RECORDS command.To uninstall the EnerVista software, use the built-in computer function, such as Control Panel > Programs and Features.Look for EnerVista UR Setup in the list.10.14 RepairsThe battery and modules inside the case can be replaced without return of the device to the factory. The firmware andsoftware can be upgraded without return of the device to the factory.Fuses in the power supply module are not field-replaceable.Files can be requested for use by technical support staff, for example the Service Report (click the icon in the software orconnect a USB drive to the graphical front panel) or under Maintenance > Retrieve File, as outlined elsewhere in thisdocument.For issues not solved by troubleshooting, the process to return the device to the factory for repair is as follows:• Contact a GE Grid Solutions Technical Support Center. Contact information is found in the first chapter.• Obtain a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) number from the Technical Support Center.• Verify that the RMA and Commercial Invoice received have the correct information.• Tightly pack the unit in a box with bubble wrap, foam material, or styrofoam inserts or packaging peanuts to cushionthe item(s).
