It is caused by the heating of new parts and insulatingmaterials and will disappear in a short time.The surface unit will cycle on and off to maintainyour selected control setting.It is safe to place hot cookware from the oven orsurface on the glass surface when the surface is cool.Even after the surface units are turned off, the glasscooktop retains enough heat to continue cooking.To avoid over-cooking, remove pans from the surfaceunits when the food is cooked. Avoid placinganything on the surface unit until it has cooledcompletely.nWater stains (mineral deposits) are removable using the cleaningcream or full strength white vinegar.nUse of window cleaner may leave an iridescent film on thecooktop. The cleaning cream will remove this discoloration.nDon’t store heavy items above the cooktop. If they drop onto thecooktop, they can cause damage.nDo not use the surface as a cutting board.
