-35-NOTEDo not skip checking the brake pads, if the thickness is notchecked they could cause damage to the brake calliper.When the thickness of the pads are considerably reduced, visit aspecialist and have the pads changed.CHANGING THE WHEELSWe must change the wheels when they are worn out or after apuncture. Proceed as follows:- Each wheel has four nuts(E) which we will removewith a no.15 wrench.- Unscrew the nuts andremove the wheel from theaxle.- To put them back in place,follow the same procedurein reverse order.SWING ARM SHAFTIt is very important that the rear wheel axle is well centred, otherwise,or if there is play, the bearing could be damaged.- To adjust the axle nut, we will go to the rear end of the QUAD. Thebolt is found to the right of the swing arm.- Use the spanner (F), supplied with your vehicle, to adjust the shaft.(F)ADJUSTING AND LUBRICATING THE CHAINThe drive chain must be checked, adjusted, and lubricated inaccordance with the Periodic Maintenance table in order to preventexcessive wear. If the chain is worn or badly adjusted (too tight orloose) then it may jump off the sprockets or break.WARNINGA chain that breaks or jumps off the sprockets could snag on theengine or the rear wheel, severely damaging the QUAD and causingit to go out of control.Checking tensionThe gap between thechain and the swing armat the chain guide mustbe about a finger width,if it is more or less,adjust to the correctmeasurement.
