EC FSE 2003 -54-STORAGEWhen the motorcycle is to be stored for any lenght of time, it shouldbe prepared for storage as follows:- Clean the entire vehicle thoroughly.- Run the engine for about five minutes to warm the oil shut it offand drain the transmission oil.- Put in fresh trransmission oil.- Empty the fuel from the fuel tank, and empty the carburetor floatbowl. (If left in for a long time, the fuel will deteriorate).- Remove the spark plug and put several drops of SAE 30 oil intothe cylinder. Kick the engine over slowly a few times to coat thecylinder wall with oil, and install the plug.- Lubricate the drive chain and all the cables.- Spray oil on all unpainted metal surfaces to prevent rusting. Avoidgetting oil on rubber parts or in the brakes.- Set the motorcycle on a box or stand so that both wheels areraised off the ground. (If this cannot be done, put boards under thefront and rear wheels to keep dampness away from the tire rubber).- Tie a plastic bag over the exhaust pipe to prevent moisture fromentering.- Put a cover over the motorcycle to keep dust and dirt from collectingon it.To put the motorcycle back into use after storage.- Remove plastic bag from exhaust.- Make sure the spark plug is tight.- Fill the fuel tank with fuel.- Check all the points listed in the Daily Pre-ride Inspection Section.- Perform the General lubrication procedure.GAS GAS SPEEDO INSTRUCTIONSThe top button is the reset button.The bottom button is the mode button.The initial display is the clock.(time) if you press mode (btm. button)the display goes:1.
