After initialization, a “Set Up Windows” dialog boxwill appear. Follow the instructions that appear.Important: During the setup procedure, do notdisconnect the power supply, press any buttons, oruse any peripheral devices such as a mouse,keyboard, or remote control.The Suspend/Resumebutton does not work.The Suspend/Resume button isdisabled from the Advancedsubmenu of the Power menu ofthe setup utility.Enable the button from the setup utility.You did not hold the button inlong enough.Hold the button longer. This may need to be a fewseconds if your application is preventing the CPUfrom checking for button pushes.There may be a conflict withthe application software.Close all applications and try the button again.The system powers up, anddisplays power on informa-tion, but fails to load theoperating system.The boot sequence settings ofthe setup utility are notcompatible with yourconfiguration.Set the operating source by pressing the [ESC] keywhile the Fujitsu logo is on screen or use the [F2]key and enter the setup utility and adjust the sourcesettings from the Boot menu. (See BIOS SetupUtility on page 27 for more information)You have a secured systemrequiring a password to loadyour operating system.Make sure you have the right password. Enter thesetup utility and verify the Security settings andmodify them as accordingly. (See BIOS Setup Utilityon page 27 for more information)Internal hard drive was notdetected.Use the BIOS setup utility or Primary Mastersubmenu, located within the Main menu, to try toauto detect the internal hard drive.An error message isdisplayed on the screenduring the notebook(boot) sequence.Power On Self Test (POST) hasdetected a problem.See the Power On Self Test (POST) messages todetermine the meaning and severity of the problem.Not all messages are errors; some are simply statusindicators.
