124 Fine-Tuning the ProjectorIf the password is not correct, you see a message prompting you tore-enter the password. If you enter an incorrect password three timesin succession, you see the message The projector’s operation will belocked. Request code xxxxx and the projector switches to standbymode for approximately 5 minutes. Write down the request code.Then disconnect the projector’s power cord from the electrical outlet,reconnect it, and turn the projector back on.When you see the Password Protect Release screen again, you can tryto enter the correct password.If you enter an incorrect password 30 times in succession, theprojector remains locked and you must contact Epson to unlock it.If you have forgotten the password, contact Epson with the requestcode number that appears in the Password Protect Release screen forassistance. See “Where To Get Help” on page 168.Creating Your Own Startup ScreenYou can transfer any image from your computer or video source to theprojector and then use it as your startup screen. You can also use it asthe screen displayed when the projector is not receiving a signal orwhen you press the A/V Mute button. The image can be a companylogo, slogan, photograph, or any other image you want to use.Capturing the ImageStart by displaying the image you want to use from either a computeror video source, such as a DVD player or digital camera.
