However all costrelated to those kits will be at customer charges.IMPORTANT SAFETYINSTRUCTIONSInstallation of this cooktop must conform with localcodes or, in the absence of local codes, with the NationalFuel Gas Code ANSI Z223.1/NFPA54—latest edition inthe United States, or in Canada, with the Canadian FuelGas Code, CAN/CGA B149 and CAN/CGA B149.2.• When installed in a manufactured (mobile) homeinstallation must conform with the ManufacturedHome Construction and Safety Standard, title 24 CFR,part 3280 [Formerly the Federal Standard for MobileHome Construction and Safety, title 24, HUD (part280)] or, when such standard is not applicable, theStandard for Manufactured Home Installation, ANSI/NCSBCS A225.1 or with local codes where applicable.This cooktop has been design certified by CSAInternational. As with any appliance using gas andgenerating heat, there are certain safety precautions youshould follow. You will find them in the Use and CareGuide, read it carefully.• Air curtain or other overhead hoods, which operateby blowing a downward air flow on to a range, shallnot be used in conjunction with gas ranges otherthan when the hood and range have been designed,tested and listen by an independent test laboratoryfor use in combination with each other.• Be sure your cooktop is installed and groundedproperly by a qualified installer or servicetechnician.• This cooktop must be electrically grounded inaccordance with local codes or, in their absence,with the National Electrical Code ANSI/NFPANo. 70—latest edition in the United States, or inCanada, with the Canadian Electrical Code, CSAC22.1 Part 1.• The burners can be lit manually during anelectrical power outage. To light a burner, hold alit match to the burner head, then slowly turn theSurface Control knob to LITE. Use caution whenlighting burners manually.• Do not store items of interest to children incabinets above the cooktop. Children could beseriously burned climbing on the cooktop to reachitems.• To eliminate the need to reach over the surfaceburners, cabinet storage space above the burnersshould be avoided.• Adjust surface burner flame size so it does notextend beyond the edge of the cooking utensil.Excessive flame is hazardous.• Never use your cooktop for warming or heatingthe room. Prolonged use of the cooktop withoutadequate ventilation can be hazardous.• Do not store or use gasoline or other flammablevapors and liquids near this or any otherappliance. Explosions or fires could result.The electrical power to the cooktopmust be shut off while gas line connections arebeing made. Failure to do so could result in seriousinjury or death.
