You also havethe option of adding several inlinemodules for the highest possibleproductivity.The LaserGrafix module is an idealsolution for government agencies,financial institutions and otherorganizations where high security,superb image quality and durabilityare a must.Crisp, durableimages and textThe LaserGrafix module engravesup to 1,200 dpi resolution. Laserengraving permeates the innerlayers below the plastic cardsurface, with durable, chemical-resistant photos, text, bar codesand signatures that maintain theirhigh-quality appearance throughoutthe life of the card.The LaserGrafix moduleis compatible with the mostcommonly used cardmaterials—including PVC,ABS, polycarbonate and PETG—many of which are available inversions designed specifically forlaser engraving, which yield thebest results. The LaserGrafixmodule also accepts a host ofindustry-standard image formats.Powerful security featuresSince the LaserGrafix moduleengraves images and text belowthe card surface, alteration isimpossible without destroying thecard. This high-resolution modulecan also microengrave variablecardholder data and otherinformation on cards for theultimate in security. But if visualmeasures are not enough, tactileengraving of text and bar codesoffers additional security youcan feel.Low operating costsSolid-state, diode-pumped lasertechnology maximizes efficiencyfor the LaserGrafix module,requiring minimal utility costs—and zero water-cooling andsupplies expenses. This meanslower costs compared to otherthermal printing systems, andreduced operating expenses bymore than 90 percent comparedto traditional flash lamp lasersystems.
