This will keep the food frozen for 2 to4 days.If neither a food locker nor dry ice is available, consume orcan perishable food at once.IMPORTANT: A full freezer stays cold longer than a partially filledone. A freezer full of meat stays cold longer than a freezer full ofbaked goods. If you see that food contains ice crystals, it may berefrozen, although the quality and flavor may be affected. If thecondition of the food is poor, dispose of it.Vacation CareYour refrigerator is equipped with the Holiday mode, which isdesigned for the traveler who wishes to turn off the lights andice maker. Trapped air can cause the food todry out, change color and develop an off-flavor (freezer burn).Wrap fresh meats and poultry with suitable freezer wrap priorto freezing.Do not refreeze meat that has completely thawed.Loading the FreezerAvoid adding too much warm food to the freezer at one time. This overloads the freezer, slows the rate of freezing and canraise the temperature of frozen foods.Leave space between the packages so cold air can circulatefreely, allowing food to freeze as quickly as possible.Avoid storing hard-to-freeze foods such as ice cream andorange juice on the freezer door shelves. These foods arebest stored in the freezer interior where the temperature variesless with door openings.
