Check the microwave oven for any damage, suchas a misaligned or bent door, damaged door sealsand sealing surfaces, broken or loose door hingesand latches and dents inside the cavity or on thedoor. If there is any damage, do not operate themicrowave oven and contact your dealer or DACORAUTHORIZED SERVICER.Choosing a Location for YourMicrowave OvenPlan your microwave’s locationso that it is easy to get to anduse. It’s wise, if possible, tohave counter space on at leastone side of the microwaveoven. Allow at least 2 incheson the sides, top and at therear of the microwave oven forair circulation.Your microwave oven can bebuilt into a cabinet or wallby itself or above certain Dacor wall ovens or warmingdrawers. Contact your Dacor dealer for more information.GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONSThis appliance must be grounded. This oven is equippedwith a cord having a grounding wire with a groundingplug. It must be plugged into a wall receptacle that isproperly installed and grounded in accordance with theNational Electrical Code and local codes and ordinances.In the event of an electrical short circuit, groundingreduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escapewire for the electric current.WARNING - Improper use of the grounding plug canresult in a risk of electric shock.Information You Need To KnowELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTSThe electrical requirements are a120 volt 60 Hz, AC only, 15 amp.or more protected electricalsupply. It is recommended that aseparate circuit serving only themicrowave oven be provided.The oven is equipped with a3-prong grounding plug. It mustbe plugged into a wall receptaclethat is properly installed andgrounded. Should you only havea 2-prong outlet, have a qualifiedelectrician install a grounded wallreceptacle.A 3-prong adapter may be purchased and usedtemporarily if local codes allow. Follow packagedirections.A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce risk ofbecoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.EXTENSION CORDIf it is necessary to use an extension cord, use only a3-wire extension cord that has a 3-prong grounding plugand a 3-slot receptacle that will accept the plug on themicrowave oven. The marked rating of the extension cordshould be AC 115-120 volt, 15 Amp. or more.Be careful not to drape the cord over the countertop ortable where it can be pulled on by children or trippedover accidentally.Notes:1.
