13WEP:(Wireless Encryption Protocol)Displays encryption status.Network Type:The default setting is Infrastructure.Ad-Hoc mode is used for peer-to-peer networking.D-Link Air DWL-120 uses the Configuration Utility as the managementsoftware. The utility provides the user an easy interface to change anysettings related to the wireless adapter. When the computer is started, theConfiguration Utility starts automatically and the system tray icon is loadedin the toolbar (see illustration below.) Clicking on the utility icon will start theConfiguration Utility. Another way to start the Configuration Utility is toclick on Start>Programs>D-Link DWL-120.A new icon - will appear in your Icon tray. Double-click on the iconshown above. The screen below will be displayed with the following defaultsettings:Using the Configuration UtilityWith its default settings, the DWL-120 will connectwith other D-Link Air products, right out of the box.SystemAssociated SSID:The Service Set Identifier is thename assigned to the wirelessnetwork. The factory SSID settingis set to default.MAC Address:Status:Displays the current connectionstate of the DWL-120. Link Quality:Displays the wireless signal strengthfor the DWL-120 wireless connectionto the access point.Displays the MAC Address of theAccess Point that is associatedwith the DWL-120.
