The DCM-200 provides high-speed Internet access over a cable network andcan connect to a computer via its Ethernet or USB port, which connects to an Ethernetcard in a PC or a Laptop. The DCM-200 provides intelligent IP allocation management,which can be configured to work on a Static or DHCP (Dynamic Host ConfigurationProtocol) network. For security purposes, the DCM-200 provides 56-bit DES (DataEncryption Standard) to encrypt data transaction for both upstream and downstreamtransmission.The DCM-200 has a maximum downloading speed at 42.88Mbps (256 QAM) and amaximum uploading speed at 10.2Mbps (16 QAM). The DCM-200 uses the Reed-Solomon error correction method for data packet integrity. For SNMP remotemanagement, the DCM-200 uses MIB II and MCNS MIB.
